thanks my i was trying to fix my phone for years but after i watch this video my phone is fixed

I remember when I was baby my dad gave his iPhone 3G and I dropped it and it broke the screen, but the screen was only a minor shatter, and it won't turn on. My mom broke her iPhone 5c and it was cracked way worse than my dad's and my mom's old phone still works even though the screen was a way larger crack. You can see inside the phone of my mom's 5c and yet still works but you can't do anything on it. I am now trying to turn on my dad's old phone and get old pictures and music from it, in 2021 I was to turn on the phone, the screen went white for 2 seconds and went back to black but the phone was on, because I connected it and I heard the old charging sound from it, but the screen is black, and you can't see anything. I connected to my computer, and it recognized it in 2021 but I need to enter the old passcode so it can be used with iTunes, but I can't because the screen doesn't work, my dad luckily knows the passcode to the phone, but we can't punch it in what should I do?

my iphone 3g goes into itunes mode all the time, i do what you said to enter dfu mode but 2 seconds after the apple logo comes on itunes mode enters. It doesn't go into iTunes mode at all. please help.

FAILED - I had changed my battery and managed to reset and restore my iPhone 4s via wifi. However, I was having a little boot loop issue, occasionally. I thought this method might reset that issue. However, it's now permanently locked in the "error 29" connect to computer mode. I had only just about got the battery connector back on properly when I changed it, so there's no chance I'll be trying to put in the old battery, which wasn't Apple anyway. So it's scrap now. Luckily it's only worth £20 these days, but I could have kept it as a spare. 😞
